Academic background

Doctorate: Ph.D. in Energy Engineering from the Energy Institute, Bengaluru, which is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais.
Earlier research appointment: Research Assistant at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, on an initiative funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under its Core Research Grant (CRG). The initiative was on green hydrogen generation from organic waste biomass.

The research in clean combustion and fuels, bioenergy systems and computational fluid dynamics draws on the CTO's specialisations, and the computational lab works under the CTO's technical direction.
