What personal information reaches SciHeart through this website, why we use it, how long we keep it, and how to use your rights.
This website is run by SciHeart Technologies LLP. For the personal information described in this notice we are the data fiduciary: the party that decides why and how it is used.
Our registration details and registered office are on the corporate information page, and our address for post is on the Contact page.
This website does not itself collect anything about you when you read it. Our hosting provider keeps server logs, described below. The site:
| Information | What it includes | Why it is used | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your message | What you choose to write and send, with any contact details you include | To reply to you and to carry out the work you ask about | You, your email provider or WhatsApp, and our mailboxes and the staff who answer them |
| Server logs | Your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser type | To run and secure the servers that host this site | Our hosting provider. We do not use these logs to identify or follow visitors |
| Theme choice | Light or dark, if you use the theme switch | To show the site the way you chose on your next visit | Your browser only. It stays on your device and we never receive it |
| Search words | What you type into search | To show results on your screen | Your browser only. Nothing is sent to us |
Our hosting and email providers may keep data on servers outside India.
The Contact page has a message composer. It sends nothing to us itself. It prepares an email, or a WhatsApp message, and hands it to your own email app or to WhatsApp. We receive a message only when you press send there, and only the details you chose to include, such as your name, organisation, email address, a phone number if you add one, and your message.
We use these details to reply to you and to run the engagement you asked about. We do not use them for marketing. If we ever want to use them for another purpose, we will ask you first.
No system is completely secure, so please keep sensitive details out of your messages, such as passwords, financial account numbers, government ID numbers and health information, and do not send data you have no right to share.
Your message passes through your email provider and ours. If you choose WhatsApp, the prepared text is part of the link that opens WhatsApp, so WhatsApp, which is run by Meta and has its own terms and privacy policy, receives it as soon as that tab opens, before you press send. We see the phone number you write from.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as far as needed to reply to you or to deliver the work you asked for, with your agreement where a collaborator is involved, and where the law requires it.
We keep correspondence for 24 months after the last message. After that we delete it, or remove anything that identifies you, unless the law or a continuing engagement means it must be kept longer. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider on its own schedule.
You can ask us to:
To use any of these, write to the Head Office desk from the email address you used when you wrote to us, and give the date of your message so that we can find it. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act.
Requests and grievances
The Head Office desk handles them for the LLP: headoffice@sciheart.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If our reply does not settle the matter, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once the provisions that allow it apply to us. The Board expects you to raise the matter with us first.
Our services are for adults and professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to write to us on your behalf.
We follow Indian law on personal data: the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force.
We will update this notice whenever our practice changes, for example if we add a form that sends data to us. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
